South Carolina’s first Charlotte FC supporters group · now riding for two clubs

Nothing could
be finer.

Southbound & Crown is the member-run supporters group founded in Rock Hill, S.C. — tailgating, traveling, and singing for two clubs across the Carolinas and beyond.

Mile 2 /// Who we ride for

One road. Two clubs.

We’re one organization with one membership home — not two fan pages stitched together. Charlotte FC is the founding identity. Greenville Triumph is the newest chapter. The badge on the shirt changes; the people in the lot don’t.

MLS

Charlotte FC

North on I-77 · Bank of America Stadium

Where it started. When MLS named Charlotte its 30th club, we built South Carolina’s first Charlotte FC supporters group — on purpose, from outside the city limits. We’ve been driving north ever since.

Southwest to the Upstate · Greenville, S.C.

The road runs southwest now, too. Full Triumph memberships, season parking, and a matchday home base in the Upstate — same scarves, same songs, different shade of gold.

Mile 3 /// Before every home match · Royal Family Tailgate Lot

The best tailgate in the South.

— SEC Quarterly

Pull in early. South Carolina tents go up, the grills get going, and the Kenny Powers flags start flying. Ping pong, Biñho, cornhole, card games and video games until it’s time to march.

Good food, good beer, good company — and family-friendly on purpose. Bring the whole crew. The kids eat free, and somebody will hand them a Lego set before you’ve found parking.

SBC Services

A supporters group that only exists on Saturdays isn’t much of one. Between matches, this club keeps rolling:

Away Trip Sign-Ups

Every road trip gets a roster — sign up, see the headcount, know exactly who's on the annual capacity-capped bus to Atlanta before it fills up.

Rec Soccer

SBC fields its own sides for the Queen City Cup and adult league play. Come support Charlotte on Saturday, play like them on Sunday.

Game Nights

Member-led weekly and monthly sessions — Catan, D&D, Phasmophobia, Warzone — plus ping pong brackets and, yes, mesmerizing karaoke.

Community & Charity

Fundraising drives and volunteer campaigns across the Carolinas. The crest means something off the pitch, too.

Come on in, pull up a chair, and be a part of our continuing story.

Mile 6 /// How we got here

Southbound & Crown started with a handful of Tottenham Hotspur supporters in Rock Hill, South Carolina. When MLS named Charlotte its 30th club, Michael Gallemore and Matt Burris pointed that fandom up I-77 and built South Carolina’s first Charlotte FC supporters group — deliberately, from outside the city limits.

The membership now stretches across the Carolinas and beyond. Somewhere along the way we picked up a second club, a rec soccer team, an annual bus to Atlanta, and a Lego habit. The story’s still going. Pull up a chair.

Mile 8

Last exit before kickoff

Join for the 2026 season — from $15. The scarf’s already got your name on it, and there’s a seat at the table in the lot.

No hard sell — come by the tailgate and meet everybody. That usually does it.
